I have carried one of these knives for 10 years. I don''t know of a better knife. I recently ordered another one. Right out of the box it will shave as clean as a razor.

I''ve been carrying this one since Emerson first designed it... This is one workhorse of a knife. As stated in the previous review, it shaves right out of the box. It holds a good working edge longer than any other knife I''ve carried. ]This is the only knife I have ever owned that just the idea of accidentally cutting myself with it made me feel a bit sick - and I''m a guy that stitches up my own wounds. This thing is a REAL cutter![ It is tough enough to handle any task that you would ask of a tactical folder. Whether it is performing some utilitarian task, or ]dare I say it[ severing the Greater Vessels within the chest wall of your opponent in a fight, this knife can do it. The single side grind makes for easy sharpening if you find it needs it. The G-10 scales don''t crack if you drop the knife. The liner lock provides great lock-up in the open position. The blade screw can be adjusted so that the knife can be easily opened with one hand using just the thumb, or even a flick of the wrist if you wish to adjust the screw to the low amount of tension. ]If you do the latter, keep in mind that the amount of force required to release the blade via pressing the liner lock may be more than you might expect - you are slinging that blade back with a lot of force when you open a knife that way, and the liner lock is going to drop into place when the blade is at its maximum travel.[ I will probably be purchasing a couple more of these knives - another for me just in case something was to happen to my original, and another to give to my son when he is old enough to handle it.
