I''ve had this blade for about a month now and so far, so good. The "wave" feature opens the blade reliably from front and rear left and right pockets when placed correctly and the ring at the end of the handle fits my size ten index finger with a bit of room to spare. The lock is very secure, but has proven to be a little difficult to unlock. The blade comes incredibly sharp out of the box and the overall craftsmanship is excellent. I would feelg very confident using this tool for self defense, and it would make a great one handed opening utility knife.
